You may recall a recent wedding I photographed at USD (in April) where it rained the entire day? THIS ONE. It never rains all day in San Diego. What was that? I loved the moody portraits we got from that day, but at the same time, it didn’t really show off our lovely San Diego weather, nor the gorgeous University of San Diego campus.
I’m never happy with a session unless I get the photos I see in my head… actually into the camera. Somehow. So what could I do?
Well, I offered Taylor & Collin an extra session so we could make some photos of the two of them outside in pretty light. Well, we had a little miss-communication though. Oops. No wedding clothes. Ah well, an “engagement session” style shoot will have to do. Not a problem!
A blessing in the end really. So many of my couples are planning destination weddings in San Diego that doing engagement sessions with them is hard. Or doesn’t happen. SO it was fun to add a new “engagement session” to my blog today.
Oh, and did I mention there were two commencement events happening on campus at this same time as this? No? Well, picture a few thousand people swarming the campus for our session. I think I made the area look pretty close to deserted however. Love challenges like these, haha.
