Long ago, before I had a child waking me up at 5:30am daily, I used to go dancing.
A lot.
I met Tan and Kristin dancing all those years ago. Its a small group of Lindy Hop dancers here in San Diego. It is easy to get to know people when you see them out at all the events time after time. Its also easy to spot the truly kind people. Tan has always been one of the kindest dancers I’ve had the pleasure to get to know. When he emailed that he was getting married and needed a photographer I of course agreed to help!
It was an awesome wedding day with tons of friends, fantastic live music (thanks to Zzymzzy Quartet) and a lots of love.
Here are some details from the Bride:
Tan and I met almost eight years ago at a happy hour for teachers. We were both invited to the happy hour by mutual friends, and then later on that night, we went to a swing dance venue. It was the first time I had ever been swing dancing, and I loved it so much that I decided to sign up for three months of swing dance lessons afterwards. The swing dance lessons were held at at a weekly dance venue called the Firehouse, which is where we became friends. Soon afterwards, Tan asked me out on our first date, and the rest is history!
