A San Diego Elopement for Nicoletta and Matt
It all Started at Knock out Pizza
In the vibrant heart of San Diego, an age-old tale sprang to life. It began with a slice of pizza and flourished amid nature’s stunning splendor. While stationed at Camp Pendleton with the USMC, Matt met Nicoletta through mutual friends in San Diego. The cozy ambiance of Knock Out Pizza in Carlsbad ignited their romantic journey. Later San Diego would again be immortalized in their San Diego elopement photos.
A Surprise Proposal at Devil’s Tower
To a setting as wild and genuine as their love, Matt whisked Nicoletta away on a camping trip. Their visit to Devils Tower National Monument in Wyoming changed their life. After weathering a stormy night, a tranquil sunset provided the ideal moment. Matt craftily distracted Nicoletta. In front of the Tower and in a moment straight from a fairy tale, he presented a gleaming proposal. Nicoletta, having anticipated a proposal during their upcoming Glacier trip, greeted the surprise with pure joy.
Choosing an Elopement Location
True to their nature-loving hearts and with a touch of impatience to start their forever, they chose to exchange vows just a few short months later. Nicoletta’s Californian roots beckoned, with thoughts of Kings Canyon or the majestic Sequoias. They settled, however, on the picturesque Cabrillo National Monument. With the vast sky above and the echoing history around, they opted for a San Diego micro-wedding. An intimate elopement, witnessed by less than ten of their closest kin, promising a grander celebration on their first anniversary.
This elopement was anything but ordinary however. Together, they readied for their day, then walked side by side down the aisle. And, in a quirky twist, they shared a ‘cake cutting’ moment with a delicious pizza from Mr. Moto’s in Little Italy, creating memories as rich and layered as their favorite toppings.
Honeymoon Planning
As for the honeymoon, Alaska’s wild beauty calls out to them. They’re in the early stages of planning. They are currently dreaming of exploring the mesmerizing National Parks that the snowy state has to offer.
With every slice of life they share, Matt and Nicoletta remind us that love, in its truest form, is about cherishing the little moments. It’s about creating stories that last a lifetime, like the ones beautifully reflected in their micro-wedding San Diego photos.
