As a photographer, there are few things more rewarding than working with clients who stick with you over the years. That’s why I was thrilled when this beautiful family was as excited as I was to create a Mother’s Day portrait session together.
A few years back Rosalina & Billy contacted me to photograph their engagement. And let me tell you, it was a blast! We went for a classic “Vintage Hollywood Glam” vibe complete with a white convertible car and their adorable pup as the perfect accessories. You can check out the full blog post here (ENGAGEMENT GLAM).
From there, we captured their stunning wedding at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. Their wedding was incredible. I highly recommend you take a peek! (HACIENDA VINTAGE).
Now, years later, I had the pleasure of photographing the family once again for their Mother’s Day portrait session. It’s always heartwarming to see my clients’ families grow and flourish, and this session was no exception. The love between this mother and her two daughters was palpable, and it was a joy to capture their bond in photos.
We decided on an outdoor setting for the session, with the golden hour light adding a warm, intimate feel to the photos. The mother wore a beautiful rose-gold flowy dress that complemented her daughters’ outfits perfectly. The girls were all giggles and smiles, and it was evident that they felt comfortable in front of the camera. As a photographer, capturing those candid moments is what I strive for – the ones that truly showcase the essence of a family’s love for each other.
I love how photography has the power to freeze a moment in time, allowing us to revisit it and relive the emotions that come with it. That’s why I always encourage my clients to incorporate personal touches into their sessions – it adds a unique touch to the photos and helps capture the family’s personality. In this session, the mother brought along a handmade blanket that her grandmother had gifted her, which we used as a prop in some of the photos. It was a sweet reminder of the family’s history and the love that has been passed down through generations.
I always say that my clients are more than just clients – they become like family to me. And working with this family over the years has been such a joy. From their engagement session to their wedding to now, it’s been an honor to capture their milestones and watch their family grow. I’m grateful for their trust and support, and I look forward to capturing more precious moments for them in the future.
Photography is a constant learning process, and each session presents a unique opportunity to improve and grow. That’s why I always strive to bring my best to each session, whether it’s a family portrait, a wedding, or an engagement shoot. As a photographer, I believe in staying true to my style while also adapting to each client’s vision and needs. It’s a delicate balance, but it’s what allows me to create photos that are both timeless and personal.
I’m excited to share some of my favorite photos from the Mother’s Day portrait session with you all. It was a joy to capture this family’s love for each other, and I hope that these photos serve as a reminder of the special bond that they share.
And if you’re looking for a photographer to capture your own family’s memories, I would be honored to be a part of that journey. Let’s create something beautiful together.
