Guild Hotel Wedding Photos in San Diego.
I received an inquiry one day from a father of the bride. This is unusual to say the least. I love it, but still, unusual. Typically I hear from the coordinator. Sometimes the bride, or maybe her Mom, but rarely Dad. Thus the tone of this wedding was set… unusual. Amazing and gorgeous, but not your typical wedding. I’m in!
We met one winter evening in a hotel lobby near the Guild (as it was closed for a private party). We talked all about their ideas fto make this event truly gorgeous and remarkable. After a bit of champagne and logistics, we bundled up and walked over to the Guild to check it out. They walked me through all the areas they planned to use, and painted such a lively and realistic picture for me I could already see all the lovely images we could make together right then.
And they did it! But not without help…
Arielle and Dylan, along with their parents set out to put together what I would call a “dream team” of wedding vendors. I was thrilled to be included. And the event they executed under the direction of Arielle and her Mom, Leslie, was simply stunning. From the Renaissance inspired tables, to the super creative wedding dress, to the music, bountiful desserts… I’ll stop now. You get the idea. It all fell into place perfectly.
I always tell my couples that if you hire a top-notch team to produce your day you have nothing to worry about. And oh my, it was beautiful and flawless.
I asked Arielle and Dylan a few questions about the event, here are their answers:
We met 11 years ago at the Del Mar Fair! Dylan proposed in Balboa park, the same place my parents were married. Our engagement lasted 6 months. We always wanted a winter wedding, with a darker gothic renaissance theme. I’ve never been a fan of the color white, so rich yellows, reds, and blacks had to be it! I couldn’t believe how emotional I was. The feeling of being so incredibly happy and excited and full of love was the absolute best. For our honeymoon we are heading to Hawaii in May.
