San Diego’s Best Rehearsal Dinner Locations – Volume 2
Dine and Devote: San Diego’s Best Rehearsal Dinner Locations – Volume 2
For those of you who missed out on Volume 1 of this newest series, be sure to check it out HERE. It explains my love for rehearsal dinners, the benefits of having a photographer along for the ride, and the first two awesome rehearsal dinner options on our list: JRDN and Cellar Door. All of the rehearsal dinner locations being featured are located right here in San Diego, and have been recommended by loyal followers over on Facebook. Have another suggestion we haven’t covered yet? Let me know, and I will be sure to add it to the list!
Today I wanted to explore three very different locations, giving you a little variety to choose from as you select the right spot for your own rehearsal dinner. Remember though, all of these hot spots are open to the public, so if it seems as though your big event may still be so very far away – you can always stop in for a meal one night just because. Don’t wait for the excuse of a rehearsal dinner just to enjoy good dining!
Oliver & Rose: Café Chloe, San Diego’s East Village
One of my favorite places in San Diego hands down is Café Chloe, a hip little neighborhood bistro over on the corner of 9th and G. The menu is always amazing, and the ambiance relaxed but a bit parisienne. Recently, they have added a new private event space called Oliver & Rose that is nothing short of incredible. Located in a classic brick building across the street, the space itself is hidden away from the main street and requires you to wander down a candlelit hallway to find. It can be outfitted to suit whatever your tastes may be, and ensures your party will have the privacy and class you are looking for. The food is of course, unforgettable, with a location that is now just perfect for the private and intimate rehearsal dinner of your dreams.
Eclipse Chocolate: South Park
One of the best things about living in San Diego is all the eclectic dining options available. Eclipse Chocolate is one of those, created by SDSU alumni William Gustwiller with the goal of producing exotic and handcrafted chocolates and confections. This may not be the rehearsal dinner setting you would typically think of, but with a full-service menu and special event tastings throughout the year, more than just your sweet tooth can be satisfied at Eclipse Chocolate. You can always find a selection of California wines and craft beers on tap, and the cocktail menu may be just as sweet as the desserts. Their Umbral Room offers private dining for up to 60 guests, along with a viewing window into the Chocolate Production Room, making this a setting both unique and magical for a true celebration of love.
Eddie V’s: La Jolla
With locations across the country, Eddie V’s has cultivated a reputation of comfortable sophistication. Live Jazz music plays from the dining room and steak and seafood make up a to-die-for menu. It is the roof deck I have heard the most about, however, with only panes of glass separating you from the incredible ocean views. The Eddie V’s wine list is also expansive, with perfect pairing choices available for every item on the menu. There are several private dining options available, depending on the size of your party, and Private Dining Managers committed to ensuring every detail of your rehearsal dinner is flawlessly executed to perfection.
