what is the best day of the week to elope?
What is the best day to elope in San Diego?
Well, jackpot for you, you can pick ANY day of the week you want! We have great weather and so many options!
I will strongly recommend however, that if you want your selection of times, locations, personal flowers, and photographers – that you elope on a weekday. Monday through Thursday specifically. If you pick a weekend, you will be in competition with the big weddings and other city events.
Another benefit to a weekday?
Less crowds, more parking, fewer onlookers, and more places to take great photos will be available.
where can I elope in san diego?
San Diego has so many parks and waterfront opportunities for you to elope!
Do you need a permit? The best part about eloping in San Diego is that you will generally not require a permit to use city land and parks. Make sure you check however! Although your ceremony may not need a permit, at some places (like Torrey Pines State Reserve) the Photographer will need a permit. And you would generally be responsible for securing this permit.
As long as you won’t be renting chairs, bringing in giant floral arrangements, and generally disrupting the flow of movement around you – permits may not be required. Be careful about selecting popular places, like Cuvier Park, because although the public is free to use it, it is often reserved (via permit) for larger weddings on weekends.
do you offer destination photography?
Yes! I love to travel for weddings. I've done many, many large-scale destination weddings. I've also done micro-weddings and family portraits outside of San Diego. Travel packages are custom. Please send me note with your ideas and questions and we can get started.
